Mike and Todd will oversee Smith’s purchasing activities and expand global procurement strategies
Houston, TX (April 3, 2019) – Smith, a global distributor of electronic components and semiconductors, today announces the appointments of Mike Pursley and Todd Snow as Vice Presidents of Global Purchasing. Mike previously served as Smith’s Director of PPV – Global, and Todd previously held the role of Vice President of Global Project Development for Smith.
Mike and Todd will work together to oversee all of Smith’s global purchasing personnel to make sure that every requirement is handled with intensity and diligence. Their key focus will be identifying and implementing flexible procurement strategies to support customers during obsolescence, lifecycle management, and shortage situations. Todd and Mike will work alongside other members of Smith’s senior management team to engineer the most cost-efficient solutions and uphold the highest quality standards when sourcing components.

Before they advanced to their new roles, Mike and Todd worked together to grow Smith’s cost-savings program from a startup level to a now-dynamic initiative that enhances the company’s overall trading efforts. This program, which the two lead, augments the everyday sourcing support Smith provides customers with increased value.

Both Mike and Todd bring extensive industry expertise that will inform their undertakings as they work to promote Smith’s unique procurement offerings and extend support worldwide. Mike has served on Smith’s global team for almost 27 years, and Todd’s nearly two decades in the franchise distribution sphere have provided him multifaceted knowledge of sales, sourcing, and procurement.
